Efficiency means , better production = profit

Efficiency is a goal everyone wants to achieve when it comes operating their business. Better systems , staff efficiency means less hard work, headaches and more profits.

Here are a couple more tips that may help you:

 Avoid “bright shiny object syndrome”

Are you easily distracted by an email (that you didn’t realise waylaid you into an hour of un-productive work), a web link, or a conversation?  It’s very easy to get sidetracked right in the middle of a task.  It’s also easy to purchase something that looks great without doing your homework. One way to avoid unnecessary purchases is to get three quotes from potential suppliers on all major purchases for your business.  Make it a procedure so that you’re not lured into fancy marketing and items you might not ever use once you see the fine print.

One person’s trash is another’s treasure

When you start to look around your office, you might be surprised at all the things you haven’t used in a while. Laptops that have been replaced, office supplies that were accidentally double-ordered, those folders you were going to use two years ago for a marketing campaign, even extra desks and chairs that are now empty: all of these items could be recycled to not only free up space but also get you some cash.

Learn to say No!

Stick to your game plan and don’t do work for people that you don’t believe will add value to your business . Especially in the trade and service industry business undertake work because they have no other often below cost. Learn to spot a snake oil person when you see one .

Keep lists and weekly goals !

Working towards a goal results in targets achieved ! Lists allow you to focus and mean you don’t forget the task at hand!

Celebrate achievements and keep the score!

When you reach a milestone celebrate with the team . Keep score of your targets and keep your XERO or MYOB upto date . Knowing that you are in front of last year is an amazing motivational factor for achieving success. Finally all work and no play makes for a boring life so make sure you get the balance
